HOTEL INTERCONTINENTAL

Project Description:
The total built-up area is 34,000m² and comprises of three floors of public areas and six typical guest floors providing 300 bedrooms. The facilities include distinguished restaurants, coffee shops and ballroom (600m²). The hotel also includes indoor and outdoor sports and recreation facilities, beach club, swimming pools, landscaping, gardens and parking areas. The hotel is built on reclaimed land which required sea protection works.

MUSCAT AND SALALAH CARGO AND MRO HANGARS (MC12)

Project Description:
Muscat Airport: A new cargo complex of approximately 33,000m2and MRO facilities of approximately 68,000m2 including two hangars, wash bay apron, Ground Run-up Enclosure (GRE), technical shops, offices, central utility plant and various ancillary buildings.
Salalah Airport: A new cargo complex of approximately 33,000m2 square meters and MRO facilities of approximately 11,000m2 comprising of one hangar with support facilities.

EMIRATES LIGHT MAINTENANCE HANGARS

Project Description:
The four Emirates Light Maintenance Hangars are the latest addition to the Emirates Engineering Centre that will accept all types of aircraft in Emirates fleet, including the newest Airbus A380, for light maintenance.

The four Emirates light maintenance hangars comprise of Bays, Offices, Technical and Electrical and Mechanical Plant Rooms, erected at the existing West Apron, with a total built-up area of 400,000 m2.

The MEP services installed include design, detailed engineering, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of HVAC systems, including a Chiller Plant and a Pre-conditioning Air System, Plumbing, Drainage, Fire Fighting, Fire Alarm and Detection System, MV and LV Power, Lighting and all Specialist Systems.

QATAR FOUNDATION MALE AND FEMALE STUDENT HOUSING

Project Description:
The award winning development comprises segregated complexes for male and female students, features a permeating Islamic motif and provides secure, energy efficient and sustainable accommodations for 1,200 students.It also houses a community centre, computer lab, food venues and programming space. The development provides students with state of the art housing facilities and campus. The complex was designed with sustainability in mind with up to 12.5% of the power coming from renewable sources; solar panels and water-powered figures have been installed across the site, whilst wind turbines which can generate power from just 10kph gusts have been installed at the main entrance. Additional monitoring units in every accommodation unit let the students track their own energy and water consumption and, if appropriate, modify their own behavior.

The complex maximizes energy efficiency and water usage, utilizes wind turbines, Photovoltaic Cell Power Generation and a Bio-mass wall for filtering gray water. Students living in the complex benefit also from wireless computer systems, and smart-room technology, which allows residents to control temperature, lighting and music simply by entering the room.

This student housing project is the world’s first US Green Building Council (USGBC), PLATINUM LEED Certified Student Residence Hall Project. The project has the world’s largest collection of Platinum-certified buildings (twelve) in one location.

THE PEARL

Project Description:
The project is a construction of roads and infrastructure for The Pearl-Qatar island development. Road works consist of roads, bridges, underpass, culverts, surface water drainage, signage and roadway lighting. Infrastructure works consists of potable water distribution, telecommunications civil works and electrical distribution.

ALDAR HQ BUILDING

Project Description:
The Aldar HQ Building with its distinctive design is located at the waterfront of Al Raha Beach Development overlooking the Arabian Gulf.

The building currently represents the most striking feature of the Abu Dhabi skyline and provides flexible office accommodation to the most astute of corporate occupiers. The building is built to Grade A specifications and comprises of a 3 storey underground car parking for 800 vehicles and a 23 storey office space tower with a total built up area of 120,000 m2.

The MEP services installed include detailed engineering, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of HVAC, Plumbing and Drainage, Fire Fighting, Power, Lighting and all Specialist systems.

The building was designed to target an equivalent of ‘good to excellent’ BREEAM energy rating and it obtained a Silver Rating under the LEED Core system. Some sustainability features of this building:

AL BANDAR

Project Description:
Al Bandar Development occupies a significant area of the Al Raha Beach Development and is one of the focal points for marine, leisure and family activities in the community.

The development is set around an impressive central water feature and consists of five Residential Towers positioned on a common podium of the lower and upper basements providing car parking for 820 vehicles, all embraced by waterside restaurants, a supermarket, cafes, shops and a public marina. Total Build up area is 160,000 m2.

AL WAKRA HOSPITAL

Project Description:
Al Wakra Hospital provides state of the art Medical and Surgical facilities to the Southern Area (Al Warka and Messaed districts) of Qatar. It comprises of a 306 bed hospital building, ancillary buildings and a multi storey car park. The main hospital building has six floors and a built up area of 88,000 m2. Ancillary building includes stores, workshops, a medical waste treatment building, a central MEP Plant room building, and a water tank building with a total built up area of 15,300 m2. The multi storey car park consists of four floors and a built up areas of 25,000 m2. Total Build area of the project is approximately 130,000 m2.

The MEP services installed include detailed engineering, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of HVAC, Plumbing & Drainage, Fire Fighting, Power, Lighting and all Specialist Systems, including medical gases, nurse call, bed head and pneumatic systems.
